Bescot Crescent road safety scheme

Walsall Council has responsibility for road safety. We review road collisions involving injury on an annual basis and Bescot Crescent has been identified as a poor performing road when compared to other similar roads in the Borough. There have been a total of 12 collisions in the last 4 years, 3 involving fatal or serious injury. 

Draft road safety proposals have been drawn up to help reduce the risk of collisions. The proposals include two way chicane features, warning signs and an additional crossing point for pedestrians. Prior to the scheme being finalised, we would like to hear your views on the draft plans.

The proposed chicane would maintain two way traffic and there is no required ‘priority’ give way.
